Finally, We Can Compliment Our ABC

Finally, We Can Compliment Our ABC

Better Late Than Never

Our ABC is finally giving some airtime to the Dark Emu Debate, albeit invariably in non-peak times with the lessor known presenters.

Nevertheless, we compliment at least some of the producers and presenters at the ABC for encouraging debate and allowing the public to hear some of the critics of Bruce Pascoe and his book, Dark Emu.

On the 15th of September 2021, Philip Clark on his ABC Nightlife radio program had a radio interview over the phone with three critics of Bruce Pascoe and his book, Dark Emu.

Philip Clark interviews Peter Sutton, Keryn Walsh and Warraimaay historian, Professor Victoria Grieve-Williams and, at the end of the tape, tells us that,

We did invite Bruce Pascoe to be part of the discussion, but…hopefully that will be another time.’

In other words, has the Emu turned into a chicken?

Quelle surprise.

Other, earlier ABC interviews with the Dark Emu critics, Peter Sutton and Keryn Walshe, were broadcast as follows [without Bruce Pascoe being invited to participate we understand],
